SERVICING OF DIESEL FUEL SYSTEM.

Course content:-

	Fuels for C.I. engines.
	layout of fuel system in CI engines.
	Quality of fuels, fuel rating, cetane number, fuel filter , air cleaners, diesel knock, combustion chambers, process of combustion in CI engines.
	Fuel pressure lines, Feed pump injectiors, Maintenance of fuels.

PRACTICALS:-

Overhauling the oil filter , air cleaners, cleaning fuel pipes, repair the feed pumps, testing of the injectors. Setting the injection timings, bleeding of fuel, system, trouble shooting in diesel fuel system.

RECONDITIONING AND CALIBRATION OF FUEL INJECTION EQUIPMENT.

Course contents:-

Principle, construction and operation of fuel feed pump, filter, fuel injection pump, injectors and nozzels. Layout of fuel system. Selection of pump and injectors on the basis of combustion chambers. Maintenance, repair and testing of fuel injection equipment.

PRACTICALS:-

Stripping, assembling overhauling/repairing and study of the various components of fuel injection equipment, testing and adjustment of fuel injection pumps and injections. Phasing and calibration of pump, Governor setting the FI pump.

SERVICING AUTO ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .

Course Contents:-

	Basic electricity as applied to automobile electrical equipment.
	battery:Specification construction,chemical reaction,testing of the battery,care and maintenance.
	Starting system :Starter motor,principles of operation,construction and testing of starter motors ,solenoid switches.
	Charging system:Principle operation and construction of dynamo/alternator.Regulation of the output of dynamo/alternator.
	Lighting,signaling,wiring:Head light,parking light,brake light,fog light,beacon lamp,cigar light,flasher units,festoon lamps,wiring harness,ISI colour code.

PRACTICALS:-

Wiring practice, measuring voltage in electrical system,Maintenance,charging and testing of lead acid battery repair,maintenance,testing of dynamo,alternator,starter motor and their componants.

MAINTENANCE ,SERVICING ,OVERHAULING OF AUTOMOTIVE DIESEL ENGINE.

Course Contents:-

Starting the engine and taking performance reading,procedures of disassembling , clening, check wear & tear and service ability of parts, procedure of assembly, reason for the wear & its effects of the engine performance, setting spill timing & bleeding.

Practicals :-

Starting and stopping diesel engine, dismantling the engine, inspection tear & wear of the components, repair,& reassemble, start the engine.

MAINTENANCE ,SERVICING ,OVERHAULING OF AUTOMOTIVE PETROL ENGINE.

Course Contents:-

Starting the engine and taking performance reading,procedures of disassembling clening, check wear & tear and service ability of parts, procedure of assembly, reason for the wear & its effects of the engine performance setting spill timing & bleeding.

Practicals :-

Starting & stoping of petrol engine dismantling cylinder head,decarbonising valve reconditioning / regrinding / dismantling the engine & checking the components, prepair / overhaul, assembling the engine, start the engine and taking the performance reading .

SERVICING OF FUEL AND IGNITION SYSTEM OF PETROL ENGINE AND ENGINE TUNE -UP.

Course Contents:-

Dismantling and repairing of carburetor, fuel pumps, filters, ignition distributor, spark plug, ignition timing, coil, condenser testing, dwel angle, using gas analyzer to find out the rich lean & mixture, Air-fuel ratio percntage of CO,CO2 etc. Multipoint fuel ingection in petrol engine (MPFI)

Practicals :-

Ignition circuits, Ignition timing setting, Testing sparks plugs, Ignition coil, condenser,Dwel angle, armature of dynamo & starter motor testing, repair of electrical gauge, adjustment of headlight, distributor testing & repair
