OPTICAL PROFILE GRINDING

Course contents:-
Principle of WASINO (Japan Make)Optical Profile Grinding Machine (OPG).
Use of grinding attachments for generation different types of profile(Internal and External).
Proper Selection and specification of Grinding Wheel for product materials.
Method of setting ,balancing ,truing dressing ,setting of stroke length for grinding wheel.
Procedure for dressing and forming of grinding wheel.
Use of optical head to set correct dimensional Accuracy.
PRACTICAL:-
Forming of Grinding Wheel for concave, convex, cylindrical and angular job, check the job on optical. Head with the help of enlarged diagram.

JIG GRINDING

Course contents:-
Introduction to working Principle of WAIDA Jig Boring Machine.
Principle of RAY Jig Grinding attachments and it's working..
Selection of Grinding Wheel and it's Types for different job working.
Use of job setting equipment and accessories (Job setting microscope ,Digital readout with 0.5 Micron accuracy, sensor etc.).
Use of frequency controller for setting of correct grinding speed and feed.
PRACTICALS:-
Grinding of cylindrical (inside and outside) job.

TOOL ROOM MILLING

Course contents:-
Introduction to Working principle of DECKEL tool room milling Machine .
Working principle of angular work table,high speed head ,co-ordinate table ,proving bar ,punch milling attachment
Use of job setting equiptment (microscope, digital read out).
Types of tools and cutters used in tool room milling and their Materials.
Types of measuring instrument used for inspection for job and their working principle.
Interchangeability ,limits fits and tolerance system and it's applications .
PRACTICAL:-
Use of proving bar & slip gauge , microscope for job setting, general milling operations, use of micro boring head, calculation of spiral milling and its practice, punch milling.

JIG BORING

Course contents:-

Introduction to working principle of WAIDA (Japan Make) Jig Boring Machine.

Working Principle of proving bar ,micro boring head ,tool setting microscope ,digital read out.(Accuracy of 0.5 micron)
Types of tools and cutter used on jig boring and their materials.
Types of measuring instrument used for inspection of job  & their working principle.
Interchangeability ,limits ,Fits and tolerance system and its applications in production .
PRACTICAL:-
Use of proving bar & slip gauge for machine axis setting, microscope for job setting, general vertical boring & counter boring operations, use of micro-boring head to enlarge bore, co-ordinate drilling, making of internal and external taper.

PANTOGRAPH MILLING (2D & 3D)

Course contents:-
Introduction to working principle of STRIGON  (Hungary Make) Pantograph Milling Machine.
Working Principle of arm and scale setting methods.
Types of single point cutting tools used on pantograph & their materials.
Mechanical cutting of basic geometrical shapes.
Selection of material for pattern forming for dies and moulds.
PRACTICAL:-
Grinding of single point engraving tool for 2D and 3D machining, copy milling.
2D geometry, making of 3D internal and external machining for dies and mould.

Jigs & Fixtures it's type ,Principle of location ,Clamping and it's types.

Making a simple drilling jig, indexing jig milling fixture & Turning fixture.

PRESS TOOL MAKING

Strip layout and it's application to design of press tools and calculation of it's product economy.

Press operation-blanking ,piercing ,compound ,follow on ,bending drawing ,shearing & notching .
