Basic Training :-

Basic Training for apprentices in Chemical Trades was introduced in the Institute in 1970 . The apprentices are registered under the Apprentices Act 1961 and deputed by industry for basic training.
       The sanctioned seats, entry qualifications and duration of Chemical Trades are tabulated below :

                 ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

There is a great demand for basic training by industries and reservation of seats is made one month in       advance. Allotment of seats to different industries for their apprentices is done on the basis of total demand for a trade, keeping in view the sanctioned strength.

                  

              CERTIFICATION :

After completion of apprecticeship training a trade test is held under the aegis of the National Council for Vocational Trades and  successful candidates are awarded National Apprenticeship Certificate by it.

 

 

Supervisory Training :

     Under this programme the course "Operation and Maintenance of Chemical Plants" is being conducted since 1971. The main objective is to train graduates and industrial workers to work in chemical industries in the capacity of supervisors.
          The duration of the course is SIX months institutional training followed by one month inplant -training in chemical industry.
COMMENCEMENT OF SESSION:March and August of Every Year .The Sanctioned Seat are Shown in Appendix-B.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:The Course is advertised in the leading news papers and selection is made on the basis of merit.

ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS:1)    (a)     Matriculation or equivalent with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics or Science and   Mathematics and
       (b)     NCVT Certificate or apprenticeship certificate in Instrument Mechanic or Chemical trades
                        (For sponsored candidates only).

                                            OR
                        Diploma in Mech./Chem./Electrical Engineering.

                                          OR
                        B.Sc. with Physics or Chemistry.

COURSE CONTENT:  The following subjects/practicals are covered:
         (i)    Unit Operations (ii)Unit Processes (iii)Engineering Drawing (iv)Industrial Engineering and                   Personnel Manadement (v)Trade Practicals.

CERTIFICATION:   At the end of session, a trade test is held and after completion of the inplant training successful candidates are awarded certificates by the Institute.

Fee Structure for Supervisory Training. 

Tution Fees :

i.    Candidates sponsored by Govt. of ITI's /Govt. Deptts          : Nil
ii    Private Candidates                                                                    : Rs. 30 Per month
iii    Candidates Sponsored by SSI Organisation                           : Rs. 30 Per month
iv    Nominees of large & medium scale industries (Public & Private)
       Quasi Govt. / Public undertaking  / corporation Boards /
       Councils / Regd Societies organisations                                 : Rs. 100 Per month

 

Caution Money : A deposit of Rs. 50/- is to be paid by private candidates and candidates deputed by private industries.
